Guys my life lately is all about FOOD. I love food. Right now I am eating more than I ever had if I am being completely honest. Don’t worry though it is all Whole Foods. I am currently doing Whole30 with some friends again and I love it because it is a nice way to reset your body, take away your inflammation and really get your body feeling good again…. It takes the unpleasant sugars that is in everything now days out and replaces it with the healthy sugars instead.
Yes there are like 5 things you can’t have.… and that part does stink but it is just for 30 days. You can do anything 30 days. The hardest part at the beginning is finding whole30 safe dressings and sauces (yes they are out there but you have to learn to read your labels or use the ones that say whole30 approved).
THE NO LIST:
- Grains 2. Legumes 3. Soy 4. Dairy 5. Alcohol
If you are thinking about Whole30 try to think past that list…. it isn’t as difficult as you think…. once you get a game plan and get organized. It takes about 1 week to mentally prepare yourself for this… I call it more of a challenge diet. I don’t feel like it is a diet at all but yes you do end up loosing weight. Last time I lost 11 pounds. Here is some things I have eaten lately and here is my Pinterest board of whole30 dinners, breakfast and desserts (yes, I know they say don’t do desserts or breads but sometimes you have to have something so you don’t give up because yes you will crave something- and this is better than going to the pantry and getting an Oreo and ruining your whole30 challenge). Most mornings I have bacon, eggs, hash browns and avocado. Yes I have potatoes everyday.
Im currently 14 days in with only 16 days left. This go round I planned every dinner for all 30 days. This helps with not getting annoyed and also being prepared. I always have left overs and take for lunch the next day.
THIS WEEKS MEALS:
Salisbury Steak Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes
Mississippi Pot Roast with Mashed Potatoes
Chicken Marsala with Asparagus
Pesto Meatballs with Zucchini
Beef Tips and Gravy with Potatoes
Spinach Artichoke Chicken Skillet
Penley lost another tooth this weekend. Well…. let me rephrase that… she asked her daddy to pull another tooth this weekend. She was sooo excited! Paisley is still working on learning to rollerblade and doing a great job on it. That is a little news on the girls!
Hope you have a great Monday! Love Always, Casey!
